Together, we established and built the healthcare practice of One Equity Partners, the $5.5 billion private equity arm of JP Morgan Chase. In 2005, we founded Water Street Healthcare Partners and raised our first independent fund to focus exclusively on middle-market investment opportunities in healthcare.
Our name reflects our Chicago roots and, more importantly, our belief in partnering with people around the world to achieve our goals. South Water Street — now known as the famous Wacker Drive — was Chicago’s first street and the backbone of the city’s business in the 1800’s. It was a place of bustling commerce, where huge volumes of goods and commodities were traded and the Chicago Board of Trade was born. With its rich business heritage, the “Water Street” part of our name is the perfect reflection of our team’s passion for cultivating relationships around the world to achieve our goal of building market-leadership companies in healthcare.
